Clean Public Speaking Jokes
Every speaker has a mouth;
An arrangement rather neat.
Sometimes it's filled with wisdom.
Sometimes it's filled with feet.
“Political speeches are like steer horns. A point here, a point there, and a lot of bull in between. “-Alfred E. Neuman
Thought this statement was funny considering how nervous we all got before our speeches!
"(Can’t raise microphone) I’ve gotta start working out......
In Chapter 3 it discussed how everyone feels so nervous and stressed out before giving a speech. I feel that this picture truly describes how everyone feels at the very beginning of the class. Since none of us have given a speech in this class yet, I am sure we all still feel pretty apprehensive. But with practice and confidence, all of us can achieve this.
Also like in Chapter 3 it goes over techniques and tips to make yourself more comfortable when speaking in public. I thought that this would be a nice reminder for when you think it couldn't be any harder. :)
To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal ideas from many people is research.
Warning: Date on calendar are closer than they appear
All generalizations are false, including this one.
Anything worth taking seriously is worth making fun of.
Better to understand a little, than misunderstand a lot.
This picture makes me laugh. I feel that when someone is giving a persuasive speech that they should not be forcing anyone in the audience to believe what they believe. Instead of forcing them, the speaker can simply just nudge them into our beliefs. Like this picture shows, don't force them into it, nudge them slowly but in an effective way.
